Czech Mountaineering Association awarded the Best Ascent of 2017

On Friday 16 February 2018, the Ascents of the Year of the Czech Mountaineering Association were announced in the hall of the Regional Gallery in Liberec.
As expected, the highest possible award, Ascents of the Year with a star, was awarded for two performances. In the category of mountains over 6000 m above the sea level, for the first ascent to the eight-thousander Gasherbrum I. in the Alpine style, the award was taken over by the pair Marek Holeček and Zdeněk "Háček" Hák.
